PYTHONS

M
orelia spilota spilota

Diamondpythons. Every reptilekeepers best friend!
The looks on these guys is amazing! Friendly characters and a very handable length.

Ideal starter pythons one would say?! Yes... and no....
These guys can't be treated like every other python. They need a decent hibernation and need to be fed very moderatly! Very inquisitive and looking around to see what we are doing in the reptileroom.
Just be very careful. They are always on the lookout for food, but once these guys start to fatten up, they are in serious risk!

We really feel like these animals are somewhat the holy grail in snakes and we are currently working with 1.1. Our pair is born in 2009 and will hopefully be ready to breed by 2014. These animals are black and yellow.

Stay tuned!

Morelia spilota spilota, cb2009, Alinga en Yamani
Our Morelia spilota spilota pair is formed by Alinga (♀) and Yamani (♂).  This first pair was named before we felt it would be right to link all animals and legends together.
Alinga is the aboriginal word for sun. We’ve named her like this because of the bright yellow markings and her gentle and warm behaviour. She’s very friendly and she’s always welcome!
Yamani basically means ‘rainbow serpent of the earth’. This guy is the serpent of the earth as we feel he could be the beginning of many new diamondpythons. With his effort, we hope to breed. He is our earth, spawning new life…
