Thamnophis cyrtopsis cyrtopsis
A secretive and maybe a little bit misunderstood gartersnake. These guys are beautifull but like to hide. They love food, but only in a couple of months of the year. The produce smaller litters but bigger young. All in all, just a tad different then most gartersnakes Nothing more and nothing less I can add. Lovely species, but don't compare them to sirtalis ssp. Only very few people breed these snakes. As you may notice by the pictures below.... young are much better looking then adults.... Although most of my young tend to keep their color very nicely!
